Selling Everything...

Hello everyone..........

Stopping by today to let you all know that I am selling EVERYTHING in my paper Studio.
I was wondering if any of you would interested in purchasing a box of goodies?
I still need to sort through everything and get it put into piles and or mailing boxing.
I am not sure just how I am going to do all yet. Just wanted to check and see how much interest in a goody box there is for a under value fee plus shipping. The price will be great. Promise...
I have TONS of NEW UNUSED stamps,  paper packs, flowers, ribbons, Oh i tell ya I am a hoarder and have TONS and TONS of stuff!!!  In fact I have 2 rooms FULL of stuff.

Now I need to figure out how I plan to do this. I will let you all know the details when I get them figured out.
Please leave me a comment if you might be interested.

Kitchen make over....

 Kitchen Make Over

We have lived in this house for 15 years and I was so so sick of ugly golden oak cabinetry and old 90's tiled tops. I had wanted to paint the cabinetry off white for years and add granite tops with a tile back splash but good old hubby was like.....you should  just like what you have. UUHHGGGG.... Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!! I don't I am so sick of it!! I hated the old dirty grout on the counter tops!!  It is out dated, old, tired, and I am sick of it and we need to up date. Well, he finally broke down and let me have my way. He is NOT such a handy type of person. So he knew I would be doing 90% of the work myself.
This is not a job for you if you are in a hurry. This is very labor/time intense if you want it done right.

This kitchen has taken 1 full year and a week to get it to this point. Now, mind you there was the summer months that I did nothing in it.

I present to you our kitchen before the big make over.
(photos are not great) I would like to take a few photography classes.
Everything always looks better in person than in my photos.
BEFORE

A few years ago I did update all of the appliances from ugly white to black.   I am not a stainless steel type girl. It always has finger marks all over it and if you have a little bit of hardness in the water it is ugly.

AFTER

So what do ya think? I painted the walls and removed the wallpaper border. I took down the window boxes and recovered them. I did have to hire a granite team to come in and install the grante. But everything else I did myself with a tiny bit of help from hubby.  I got the beautiful travertine tile laid and grouted with an off white color. (Bone is the color I used) After I tiled I had the hardest time getting the electrical plates adjusted and back on. UUHHHGGG never had that problem when I have tiles before. Hubby came to the rescue!! Yay, he helped me get all of the figured out!

I now love my new black granite sink with the hand rubbed bronze faucet.

I removed ALL of the cabinets and sanded them down to raw wood. I then used a beautiful cabinet paint by Benjamin Moore.   It was like painting on silk!! Very hard shell after it dries. EASY to keep clean!!
Oh now,  I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the cabinet jewlery!! Yep that is what I call the handles and pulls.
I picked some very nice hand rubbed bronze handles and drawer pulls. I also added some very pretty scroll wood work just under the sink to give it a little bit of a shabby look.

Okay one more Before picture from a different angle and then the same angle with the after shot.

Oh ,yes yes yes I also have a new/old table. But then that will be a show and tell for another day.
As you can see I also took the fan down and replaced it with a light with white glass cups.

THANKS for stopping by today and taking a little pick into my world.
Have a great day!!
See you soon.

Camping we will go...............................

Good morning blogging friends!!!!
Happy Wednesday all!!!

I came today to share a fun lap size quilt that I have made for my hubby.
He use to love to hunt, fish and camp. Not so much these days but does it because I LOVE it all. LOL... Now of course fishing is my favorite.

For this quilt I have taken a few different quilt patterns that I have and I have mixed them all together to create this fun woodlands type quilt for him.  Hubby is always cold so while he sits in his recliner watching TV always has a lap blanket of some sort over him. WELL........ now he has his very own lap quilt.  He seems to really like it. Look at the cute little moose tracks and bear tracks in the corners.

I have used a lot of different fabric from my stash to create this for him.
I have done the applique on the sewing machine and after all put together I have custom quilted it on my long arm quilting machine. It has the cutest black and off white checked flannel back. But heck I forgot to get a picture of that.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY WONDERFUL BLESSED DAY!

Hand applique quilt

 Good morning friends,

I am back again today to share a quilt that my mother and I finished in the fall.
It is called Be Attitudes  We have used the pattern by Nancy Halvorson. We have also used Nancy's fabric line on this quilt.
It is so cute!!!!! I love the colors!

We have a lot of fun making this quilt. I cut and pieced the quilt together and passed it on the mom so that she could sit and do all of the hand blanket stitch around each piece.  Then I assembled the quilt  and custom free motion quilted it on my long arm.

This quilt has fun buttons on some of the blocks.

We have enjoyed do this fun quilt together. We put it in the county fair last fall and took a Blue First place ribbon.

I will be back in a few days or so to share more things with you. I have my kitchen re-do done and will be sharing that with you in the very near future.
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

a little bit of change....

hello everyone......

I hope this post finds you all well. Things in my life have changed a lot over the last few years. I truly miss my bloging and ALL of my bloging friends. I started this blog many years ago with my crafting in mind and have shared lots of that with you. My favorite was all of the cards and stamping things that I did. As some of you know I can't do that anymore. I did get very ill back in May 2013. I tried and pushed myself into 2014 and just couldn't do it. So I had to stop and retire from all of the design teams and also my day job. I became a stay at home SICKY. I had to get well. I now am on feet as good as it will get for me. I have now come to terms with that. I do what I can to keep myself busy with different kinds of crafts and DIY. I can't use my hands to do the little detail things anymore like color, cut, stamp and so on. So with all of that out in the open now.
I want to share some of the stuff that I do get done and just things that go on in my life daily. I do hope that you will still support my blog as I have always had a lot of friends/followers with my paper crafts. But if you choose not to follow anymore I do understand. I do want to thank all of you for the support that you have given me over the years.

Let me give you a little bit of what I am doing now and what kind of things that I will be sharing here. I have gone back to my roots with the quilting thing. I have made many quilts in the last few years for my children/family as I figured I should get it done before I couldn't anymore. But I CAN DO IT without problems. I enjoy it and it keeps me more than busy. I now have a 14 foot longarm quilting machine and have started to quilt for others. I will be sharing quilts that I have done myself and quilts that I have quilted for clients with their consent. I also will be sharing some DIY projects that I have done and will be doing. I also will be sharing some of my recipes with you. So my blog will now be a little bit of this and that. I hope you will take a minute and say hi as I do miss my friends/followers.

Today I am going sharing a couple of quilts that have made for my granddaughters last Christmas. Both quilts are bright and fun for teenage girls.

I have used a block pattern from the 101 block magazine for this first quilt then have made my own design in putting it together and adding my own style of  border blocks and borders. It has been quilted with an all over end to end design.

This second quilt center was made from a pattern found in a Fons and Porter magazine and again I did my own design to finish the quilt out.

Now how about something that is sinfully yummy?
Oh my gosh!!!! These will melt in your mouth!!!
I found the recipe on facebook. I believe it is a Courtney Luper recipe.
These are now a huge favorite at our house.

So moist and delicious!!! Not hard to make either.

BANANA NUT BROWNIES

Ingredients:
1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1-3/4 cups (3 or 4) ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Brown Butter Frosting:
1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375F. Grease and flour 15x10-inch jelly roll pan. For the bars, in a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until creamy. Blend in bananas and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and blend for 1 minute. Stir in walnuts.
2. Spread batter evenly into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, for frosting, heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Let the butter turn a delicate brown and remove from heat immediately.
4. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Whisk together until smooth (it should be thicker than a glaze but thinner than frosting). Using a spatula, spread the brown butter frosting over the warm bars (the frosting will be easier to spread while the bars are still warm).

Thanks for stopping by.... If you have a minute I would love to hear from you.
Until next time...Have a blessed weekend.

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Hello everyone..........  It has been such a very long time since I have posted on my blog!!!   Life is starting to get a bit better here for me at our house and I am now able to work with my hands a bit better.  So I have a project to share with you today. YAY!!!  I hope you like it as it is not a card,  but it is a fun Christmas ornament that I have made using a 4 inch paint brush.

I have used acrylic paints to paint the handle and the eyes and cheeks on. The wooden nose has also been painted flesh tone. I have stripped some muslin fabric to make a stash. Use a 6x10 piece of fabric to make the hat and added the feather strip using hot glue. I have added a jingle bell with a jute bow to the tip of the hat. I used very heavy gauge black wire for the cute glasses. I wrapped the wire around a dowel stick to make them. I have use hot glue to put it all together and added a wire to the top of the paintbrush though the fabric for a hanger.

Now just how cute is that!?!?!?!

I do hope to post on here from time to time.
I miss all of my blog friends
I want to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a WONDERFUL New Year!!
